Rachel Kate Design Biography
Rachel Kate is an enthusiastic, hands-on Interior and Product designer. She is a graduate of New York's renowned Parsons School of Design, where she received a degree in Fashion Studies. Rachel is also an avid seamstress, painter and illustrator who has long balanced her interior-design work with other creative endeavors. Her love and appreciation of many different design styles has motivated her to live and work all over the United States from NY, South Florida to Montana.
Rachel's talent and experience landed her a spot as a contestant on HGTV's Design Star Competition series in 2012, where she won the first three challenges, including the popular 'White Room Challenge' and 'The Kardashian Office Design Challenge'. She has also appeared on DIY Network's Rehab Addict series and other television networks to talk about creative ideas for the home.
Rachel has followed her passion to develop her own textile brand with Rizzy Home to create a Bedding and Decorative Pillow Collection currently selling on-line and or in stores with retailer such as Target.com, Bed Bath and Beyond.com and Ashley Home Furniture Stores. Rachel's newest project involves creating a line of Home Organization products set to launch on Evine Network in early 2017.
Rachel is happily and CREATIVELY living in her home state of Minnesota along with her husband and their young daughter.
