My client for this kitchen and dining remodel project also happens to be one of my best friends and she loves, loves, loves rose' and anything mid-century...but mostly rose'. So when I came across the wallpaper for this project it became the inspiration for the entire project! It was a perfect compliment to the maple cabinetry that we decided to keep. We wanted to save $$$ but we also wanted to keep the mid-century vibe she had through out the rest of her home. Instead of going with the standard remodel white enameled cabinetry we put the money into replacing the floor, the countertops, hardware, backsplash, appliances and lighting. We also had enough in the budget to build a huge custom upholstered bench an table for the dining room, which was her main priority. She wanted a lot of cozy seating and a space that felt welcoming and fun to be in.

I was having a hard time finding a mid-century looking dining table that was large enough to fit this space and that would provide the clearance I needed for a person's legs because of the large seat bench I needed something of a pedestal style base. After hours of shopping I decided to just make this myself. I found the perfect bases on ETSY.
